Virginie Platel est à la fois auteure et scénariste professionnelle.
Ancienne journaliste (TV, radio) et violoniste, Virginie Platel a fait ses armes dans l’audiovisuel pendant une dizaine d’années avant d’embrasser la carrière de scénariste.
Elle a participé, entre autres, à l’écriture de séries à succès pour la télévision telles que « Un gars, une fille »,« Scènes de ménages », « Mère et fille » etc., et de séries pour la jeunesse. Elle est également membre sociétaire de la SACD et diplômée du Conservatoire européen d’écriture audiovisuelle.

Virginie Platel is both a professional writer and screenwriter.
A former journalist (TV, radio) and violinist, Virginie Platel worked in the audiovisual industry for about ten years before embarking on a career as a screenwriter.
She has participated, among others, in the writing of successful television series such as "Un gars, une fille", "Scènes de ménages", "Mère et fille", etc., as well as youth series. She is also an associate member of the SACD and a graduate of the European Conservatory of Audiovisual Writing.

C’est-à-dire que c’est vous qui faites vos propres choix dans l’histoire, et c’est donc vous qui façonnez votre aventure !
Dans ce roman, vous incarnez Vicky Løve, une Parisienne d’origine scandinave de vingt-cinq ans. Surdiplômée, elle n’a encore jamais travaillé et s’apprête à faire le grand saut dans la vie active. Du coup, par sécurité, elle a l’intention d’épouser son petit ami, un geek qui a une fâcheuse tendance à la confondre avec les goules de ses jeux vidéo.
Mais lorsque celui-ci lui offre une bague venue du fond des âges aux étranges propriétés magiques, la vie de Vicky va basculer. Lors de son stage d’archéologie en Norvège, elle va en effet se retrouver propulsée à l’âge viking ! Nul doute que sa combativité sera fortement mise à l’épreuve, en particulier lorsque sa route croisera celle d’un séduisant guerrier et d’une mystérieuse et redoutable pirate.
Tous deux semblent avoir un lien avec sa bague.
À Vicky de découvrir lequel pour pouvoir rentrer chez elle, avant que sa vie ne soit brutalement écourtée. Entre autres réjouissances, elle devra apprendre à se battre hache à la main comme les Skjaldmö (guerrières au bouclier), naviguer sur les océans jusqu’aux terres glacées d’Islande à bord des fameux navires vikings, et survivre au froid polaire des nuits arctiques sublimées d’aurores boréales...
Au cours de sa quête, elle devra surtout faire des choix cruciaux, notamment au niveau sentimental, qui décideront de son destin.

Je tiens particulièrement à remercier les éditions MxM Bookmark collection Infinity et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
Mon tout premier livre où je suis le héros.
On y incarne ici la jeune scandinave Vicky Love une parisienne de vingt-cinq ans. Elle possède tout pleins de diplômes et souhaite fais un grand pas dans la vie active. Elle veux à tout prix épouser son petit ami fan de jeux vidéos qui la prend souvent pour une goule.
Il va lui offrir une bague venant de je ne sais où aux propriétés magiques et la vie de Vicky va basculer. Lors de son stage d'archéologie en Norvège elle va se retrouver propulsée dans le monde des vikings.
J'ai adoré prendre la vie de l’héroïne a pleines mains, dommage que je l'ai lu en format numérique. J'ai accroché de suite à l'histoire si captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages attachants.

I loved to take the life of the heroine in my hands, too bad I read it in digital format. I immediately hooked on the story, so captivating, full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters.
