Summary :

I'd love you forever, if I only had the chance...
Kacey Dawson has always lived life to the fullest, impulsively, sometimes recklessly. Now, a guitarist in a very promising band, she's on the verge of fame and fortune. But Kacey is torn between wanting to become a serious musician and the demons that lure her to the glittering, but alcohol-soaked world of fame. A failed concert in Las Vegas threatens to completely ruin her career. She wakes up with a phenomenal hangover and no memory of last night or how she ended up on her limo driver's couch?
Jonah Fletcher is running out of time. He knows his situation is hopeless, and has vowed to make the most of the few months he has left. His plans are to attend the unveiling of his glass work at a prestigious art gallery... that doesn't include falling in love with the wild and boisterous rocker that landed on his couch.
Jonah sees that Kacey is on a destructive path. He lets her stay with him for a few days so she can get back on her feet. But neither of them anticipated the deep bond they feel, or how it could change so quickly from friendship to something else. Something deep, pure, life-changing... Something as fragile as glass, they know, that will eventually explode no matter how hard they try to hold on to it.
To love with all one's heart, to sacrifice, to know a terrible pain and a growing joy. To live one's life with all its beauties, its sorrows, and in the end to be able to smile through the tears and to know that one would not have changed a single thing, that is simply what My Universe teaches us.

Mon avis :

My point of view :

I would like to thank Juno Publishing and the Netgalley website for allowing me to read this book.

I was immediately attracted by the pretty cover of this book which made me want to read the summary.

It features the pretty Kacey who is a guitarist in a band. But her future is divided between music and her demons which pushes her towards fame and alcohol. When one of her concerts fails, her career could well be ruined. She'll end up with the limousine driver who drives her band to every concert venue. Having a hangover, she will ask herself a lot of questions.  And that limo driver happens to be Jona who has very little time before her life is over. Her passion blows the glass. He's going to ask Kacey to stay with him for the remaining days before the concert ends.

I read this book in two days, so much so that I hung on to the story, so moving in certain passages, captivating, addictive with very endearing characters. It's a lovely love story between Kacey and Jona that makes you want to open the book and not close it until the end.
