A few words about the author :
Already the author of two novels and a young adult story, Laura Decostayre is passionate about writing but also about music and photography. On her blog, which she describes as "light and not always serious", she shares her favorite things and thoughts. From Lille, she sails between the Hauts-de-France and the South-West where the Atlantic Ocean gives her emotion and inspiration. With IndissoCIAble, she has chosen to explore the world of action stories while tackling a theme that is close to her heart: human relationships.

Jake a été chargé par l’Agence de la surveillance de Robert Kizinski, dit Bobby le balafré. Il est soupçonné d’avoir assassiné l’agent Mélina Banks, en plus de se livrer à du trafic d’armes. Jake connaît bien ce genre d’individu, et celui-ci en particulier. Il a déjà eu affaire à son frère Karl. Il établit un premier contact en fréquentant le Molly’s, un bar où Kizinski a l’habitude de venir prendre un verre. Jake y fait la connaissance de Cloé, la serveuse, qu’il identifie rapidement comme étant une femme battue. Sa mission le replonge dans des souvenirs douloureux, alors que l’infiltration du laboratoire Kizinski menée avec sa coéquipière Léa, cinq ans auparavant, s’est soldée par un échec au dénouement dramatique.
Summary :
Jake has been assigned by the Agency to monitor Robert Kizinski, known as Bobby the Scarred One. He is suspected of having murdered Agent Melina Banks, in addition to being involved in arms trafficking. Jake is familiar with this type of individual, and this one in particular. He has dealt with his brother Karl before. He establishes a first contact by frequenting Molly's, a bar where Kizinski has the habit of coming to have a drink. Jake meets Cloe, the waitress, whom he quickly identifies as a battered woman. His mission takes him back to painful memories, as the infiltration of the Kizinski laboratory with his teammate Léa, five years earlier, ended in a dramatic failure.

Je tiens à remercier les éditions Plumes de Marmotte et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre.
On y retrouve Jake qui travaille dans une agence de surveillance, il doit suivre Robert Kizinski qui semble avoir assassiné un agent Mélina Banks en plus de faire du trafic d'armes. Jake connait bien ce genre d'homme ayant eu affaire à son frère. Il va y faire la connaissance d'une serveuse Cloé qui semble avoir été battue. Sa mission va lui rappeler de mauvais souvenirs, une affaire qui avec sa collègue Léa s'est mal terminée cinq ans auparavant.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si prenante, addictive, captivante, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants.

We find Jake who works in a surveillance agency, he must follow Robert Kizinski who seems to have murdered an agent Melina Banks in addition to making arms trafficking. Jake knows well this kind of man having dealt with his brother. He will meet a waitress Cloé who seems to have been beaten. His mission will bring back bad memories, a case with his colleague Lea that ended badly five years earlier.
A book read in one go so much I was hooked on the story so gripping, addictive, captivating, filled with suspense and twists with very endearing characters.
