Originaire du sud de la France, Delphine LC est passionnée de lecture depuis sa plus tendre enfance. À l'adolescence elle écrit des poèmes pour évacuer ses angoisses et s'évader.
En 2015 à l'âge de 32 ans elle commence à écrire sur Wattpad, une plate-forme d'écriture, où elle publie ses textes pour la première fois.
L'écriture est pour elle une thérapie, celle par les mots...
A few words about the author :
Originally from the south of France, Delphine LC has been passionate about reading since her early childhood. As a teenager, she wrote poems to release her anxieties and escape.
In 2015 at the age of 32 she started writing on Wattpad, a writing platform, where she published her texts for the first time.
Writing is for her a therapy, the one through words...

Moi, c’est Lola. J’ai trente ans, un meilleur ami du tonnerre, quelques gros kilos en trop et une vie amoureuse au point mort.
Un soir, dans un bar, je fais la rencontre d’une vodka tonique glacée et de celui qui la tenait encore, une minute avant qu’elle ne se déverse sur mes vêtements. Quand mon regard croise le sien, c’est le coup de foudre. Ce mec est beau comme un dieu. Autrement dit, hors de ma portée.
Je termine donc la soirée seule dans mon lit, certaine de ne jamais revoir mon bel inconnu.
Pourtant, le lendemain, je me retrouve face à lui, incapable de sortir la moindre phrase sensée. C’est sûr, si je ne veux pas finir avec le cœur en miettes, il va falloir que je me blinde… Un gars comme ça, ce n’est vraiment pas pour moi.
Summary :
My name is Lola. I'm thirty years old, have a great best friend, a few extra pounds and a stalled love life.
One night, in a bar, I meet a frozen vodka tonic and the one who was still holding it, a minute before it spilled on my clothes. When my eyes meet his, it's love at first sight. This guy is beautiful as a god. In other words, out of my reach.
So I end the evening alone in my bed, certain of never seeing my handsome stranger again.
However, the next day, I found myself facing him, unable to say anything sensible. For sure, if I don't want to end up with my heart in pieces, I'll have to armor myself... A guy like that is really not for me.

Je tiens à remercier les éditions BMR et le site Netgalley de m'avoir permis de lire ce livre. J'ai de suite été attiré par la jolie couverture de ce livre et son résumé qui m'ont donnés envie de le lire.
On y retrouve Lola qui à la trentaine, un meilleur ami très proche d'elle mais des kilos en trop.
Elle va faire la rencontre un soir dans un bar d'un homme et dès le premier regard avoir le coup de foudre pour lui. Elle va finir la soirée seule sans jamais imaginer le revoir un jour.
Un livre lu d'une traite tellement j'ai accroché à l'histoire si émouvante à certains passages, prenante, captivante, addictive, remplie de suspens et de rebondissements avec des personnages très attachants. Hâte de lire la suite.

I would like to thank BMR and the Netgalley website for allowing me to read this book. I was immediately attracted by the pretty cover of this book and its summary which made me want to read it.
We find Lola who is in her thirties, a best friend very close to her but with extra pounds.
She will meet a man in a bar one night and from the first glance have the love at first sight for him. She will finish the evening alone without ever imagining seeing him again.
A book read in one go so much I was hooked on the story so moving in some passages, gripping, captivating, addictive, filled with suspense and twists with very endearing characters. Can't wait to read the book two.
