La maison était plongée dans un silence oppressant. Marbella et Yoann venaient de quitter Carl, laissant derrière eux ses paroles lourdes de sens. Tandis qu’ils franchissaient la porte du logis, Marbella jeta un dernier regard vers l’obscurité qui entourait la maison de Carl, les bras croisés comme pour contenir un frisson.
Yoann, lui, la fixait avec intensité. Lorsqu’elle ne s’y attendait pas, il l’attira doucement à lui et déposa un baiser sur ses lèvres. Marbella fut surprise, mais elle ne recula pas cette fois.
— « Yoann… » murmura-t-elle, presque en protestant, mais il la coupa d’une voix calme.
