Il était une fois une tour à la hauteur démentielle,
Qui faisait d’elle le premier gratte-ciel.
D’un style ni gothique ni flamand,
Le sommet atteignait le firmament.
Cône gigantesque au centre d’un vaste domaine,
Comme une pièce montée à taille surhumaine.
A peine la dernière pierre apportée à l’édifice,
Avant même l’inauguration et le feu d’artifice,
La construction fut saccagée par une main divine,
Jalouse de cette coopération humaine clandestine.
La résidence était devenue inhabitable,
La partie encore debout demeurant instable.
Ainsi commença une âpre bataille d’experts,
Pour évaluer un sinistre sans impair.
La responsabilité de l’architecte fut engagée,
La réputation du maître d’œuvre menacée.
Aucun assureur ne couvrant le risque divin,
Le sinistre habitation fut
