Cold Golden Silence

They say silence is golden,
But will I ever be forgiven.
For being such a mute,
When she’s standing so cute.
How can I leave her alone,
Not a word, not even a tone.
When all she needs is for me,
To stop navigate this strange sea.
An ocean of solitude,
But for her it’s just rude.
I wish I could talk,
Loud and fast as my walk.
[CHORUS]
All I want is for you to be happy,
Even if it means never knowing me.
So in the cold golden silence of love,
I let you take your flight like a dove.
I stroll I run, I flee,
So I won’t answer her plea.
All I can do is beat it,
Choosing once more to retreat.
I am a coward, it’s lame,
I am just a shadow of a man.
Can’t expose what’s inside me,
Can’t let her or anybody see.
