Un soir approchant, la garnison d'Alba. Vingt-cinq soldats trapus. Blafards, bouffis, affaiblis. Mais jamais à bout. Alba, fourmi parmi vingt-cinq combattants.
Alba annonça son plan, donna tant d'instructions qu'un garçon la stoppa.
- Pourquoi discourir ? Partons pour ton donjon avant la fin du jour !
A l'unisson, son gang clama :
-Oui, partons aussitôt !
Alba a dit
- Vos canassons sont las. Passons la nuit dans un bois touffu. Grattons nos dos sur vingt-six troncs moussus.
A l'unisson,
- Mais on dit qu'il y a là-bas un gros ours, huit lutins grondants !
Alba moqua :
-Puis quoi aussi ? Un goupil à l’air narquois, un vautour chafouin, un grand dragon griffu ? Suffit ! Nous irons au bois ! Profitons du halo lunaire. Des frissons sur nos bras, nous dormirons au froid. Tout
