Bad Man
I’m just a man who don’t play by the rules
Ain’t followed ’em since way back in school
Never could board their train of thought
Teachers, students, counselors and whatnot
Always speeding in the hallway
Doing one forty-seven on the highqway
Never even got myself a ticket
Guess a slug’s world can’t catch a cricket
Either too fast, too slow, too weird
Still, somehow I never disappeared
So I learned to live outside the norm
Never cared much for the swarm
I’m a bad man, numbers can prove it
98, 97, then a single digit
I’m a bad man, four letters spell it
I Never Found Joy, this I’ll admit
On the OCEAN they wanted 50
I pulled a 1 and nothing under 90
“Ain’t normal,” said the captain
So I made port and caught a train
Seat 5, wagon 4
They’d seen my kind before
“Reserved for the disabled”
Sorry, must’ve been mislabeled
I’m a bad man, still out on the loose
Feels like they got my name on a noose
I’m so bad I don’t fit anywhere
Judged by how I think and the clothes I wear
I’m a bad man, numbers can prove it
98, 97, then a single digit
I’m a bad man, four letters spell it
I Never Found Joy, this I’ll admit
This world's been tuned and calibrated
For minds that came preformatted
Never asked the world to change for me
So why the hell should I change for society?
I’m a bad man ‘cause I don’t fit
Numbers and letters got nothing to do with it
I’m a bad man, yet I’ve always been legit
I never hurt a soul, you sure you can compete?
I’m bad, but at least I ain’t sad.
