Press release: Panodyssey launches the AI Transparency Notice
Panodyssey launches the AI Transparency Notice to strengthen the protection of online content
Paris, March 20, 2026 – Panodyssey announces the launch of Panodyssey Security, an initiative dedicated to the protection, traceability, and transparency of content published online in the age of artificial intelligence. This initiative is being introduced with a first tool: the AI Transparency Notice, enabling authors and creators to bring greater clarity to the origin of their content and to better control how it is used by artificial intelligence systems.
The AI Transparency Notice was developed as part of the European consortium CREA Trust AI, in collaboration with the news agency Agencia EFE. This consortium is supported by the European Commission’s Creative Europe Innovation Lab programme.
The AI Transparency Notice: enhanced transparency and protection for online content
Artificial intelligence systems are now trained on vast volumes of online content, making transparency and respect for creators’ rights more critical than ever.
As part of Panodyssey Security, the AI Transparency Notice is seamlessly embedded into the platform’s publishing experience. It enables authors, journalists, and creators to disclose the use of AI in their work, properly attribute sources and credits, and set clear conditions governing how their content can be accessed and used by AI systems.
Disclosing the use of artificial intelligence
The AI Transparency Notice enables creators to clearly indicate whether AI tools were involved in the creation of their content. This information can be specified at different levels, within the title, the text, or the images accompanying a publication.
By making the use of AI visible, Panodyssey helps improve the readability of online content and fosters a stronger relationship of trust between creators and their audiences.
This level of transparency also makes it easier to distinguish between fully human-created content, AI-assisted work, and content generated by automated systems.
Specifying credits and sources
The AI Transparency Notice also allows creators to clearly identify the credits and sources behind their publications. Authors can reference the materials, inspirations, or contributions that played a role in shaping their work.
This feature builds on long-established practices of citation and documentation found in fields such as research, journalism, and publishing.
By making sources easier to identify, Panodyssey promotes more responsible publishing practices while helping to recognize and elevate the work of creators and authors.
Setting conditions for AI access
The AI Transparency Notice also gives creators the ability to define how their content can be accessed by artificial intelligence systems. Authors can clearly state whether they allow, or refuse the use of their work by AI models.
This feature addresses a growing concern among creators regarding the use of their work in training automated systems.
By allowing creators to express their preferences with clarity, Panodyssey helps restore a fair balance between technological innovation and respect for copyright.
A major challenge for the European digital ecosystem
The implementation of the AI Act marks a significant step in the European Union’s effort to better regulate the development of artificial intelligence. The regulation notably introduces new transparency requirements regarding the origin of content used by AI systems, as well as stronger safeguards for copyright protection.
These issues are also at the center of ongoing debates within the European Parliament. In a report adopted on March 10, 2026, addressing the protection of works in the age of artificial intelligence, Members of Parliament call for greater transparency in how protected content is used to train AI systems, fair remuneration for rights holders, and the ability for creators to prevent their works from being used by AI models.
Led by European Parliament member Axel Voss, the report highlights the urgent need for clear rules to safeguard Europe’s creative sector.
In today’s digital landscape, the circulation of online content is still largely dominated by global platforms whose models rely on the large-scale use of user-generated data and content, often leaving creators with little visibility into how their work is actually used.
Against this backdrop, Panodyssey has developed a distinctly European approach to online publishing, one built on transparency, creator protection, and alignment with European standards. With the AI Transparency Notice, the platform strengthens the protection of works and gives rights holders the ability to prevent their content from being used in the training of artificial intelligence systems.
“ With the AI Notice, Panodyssey addresses one of the core issues of the digital age: the uncontrolled use of data and creative content. We have developed a technology that brings Digital Smart Contracts to scale, from creators to AI developers, making each contract automatically accessible to AI systems worldwide.
No AI will be able to claim it “didn’t know” whether a creator allowed or refused the use of their content. Everything is defined at the moment of publication: you can choose to grant access to Mistral or Anthropic, while restricting others such as DeepSeek.
This marks the end of digital piracy. Twenty-five years ago, I helped bring order to online music; today, I’m bringing that same clarity to text and visual content in the age of AI. And it’s exactly what Europe, and millions of creators and publishers across the continent, have been waiting for.” — Alexandre Leforestier, Founder and CEO of Panodyssey
