Panodyssey offers AI companies licensed access to certified human content: the author decides, publication by publication, AI by AI
Europe's trusted infrastructure for AI content licensing, built for independent creators, open to AI actors.
AI companies need trustworthy content.
Creators need transparency, control, and a fair share of the value.
Panodyssey connects both.
We invite independent authors, European, French-speaking and English-speaking from around the world, to come together around a simple and necessary project: building a bridge between human creation and artificial intelligence, founded on transparency, consent and balance. Reconciling ethics and technology. Building a model where authors decide, where AI systems respect, and where the value created is shared fairly.
This is not a utopia. It is an infrastructure. And it is already in place.
Panodyssey contributes to the emergence of a trusted European infrastructure enabling creators and AI actors to collaborate within a framework that is transparent, rights-respecting and aligned with European values.
Why now?
Artificial intelligence is entering a new phase.
The question is no longer simply about access to content. The question is now about access to content that is reliable, traceable and legally exploitable.
AI developers face four major challenges:
- Data provenance
- Training dataset transparency
- Regulatory compliance
- Relationships with creators and rights holders
These issues are becoming central with the entry into force of the European AI Act, the DSM Directive, and the growing expectations of regulators, institutions and users.
Panodyssey is building the technological, legal and editorial foundations needed to address these challenges.

The European Parliament has spoken
On 10 March 2026, the European Parliament adopted a landmark resolution on copyright and generative artificial intelligence. The message is unambiguous:
- Copyright violations by AI providers are proven and unacceptable.
- Creators must have full control over the use of their content for (1) training, (2) inference and (3) RAG.
- An operational licensing market must be established to guarantee fair remuneration.
- Human, certified and licensed datasets are essential to competitive, reliable AI that complies with European law.
Panodyssey anticipated this moment. Since 2018, we have been building precisely this infrastructure, the one the European Parliament is now calling for. We are not reacting to regulation. We got there first.

What we are
Founded in 2018, Panodyssey is a European streaming platform dedicated to text, built for authors, creators and cultural and linguistic diversity.
We operate without advertising, without recommendation algorithms driven by sensationalism, and without intermediaries between creators and their readers. This model, free from any commercial pressure, guarantees the authenticity of the content. Panodyssey authors write to be read, not to optimise metrics. Here, human editorial choice comes first, not the machine's choice.
On Panodyssey, each publication is associated with a certified author, accountable for their content. A requirement that contributes to the quality, traceability and reliability of a catalogue built over more than seven years.
Each author retains control of their content. Each authorization is managed directly by the creator. No intermediary between the author and you. Everyone respects everyone.
At Panodyssey, we do not simply manage content. We build a digital editorial heritage founded on authorial responsibility and cultural diversity.
From editorial platform to licensing infrastructure
Panodyssey is far more than a publishing platform. It is an infrastructure for AI authorization management, content traceability and rights licensing.
Our technology enables creators to define, publication by publication, which uses are authorised or not for artificial intelligence systems. For AI companies, this means access to corpora built from explicit authorizations. For creators, it means control over their intellectual property. For regulators, it means greater transparency and accountability. And for humanity, it means the valorisation of human creation.
The Panodyssey AI Notice: a level of granularity rarely available
At the heart of the system is the Panodyssey AI Notice.
Built on the European TDMRep standard and aligned with DSM Directive 2019/790, it goes further than any existing standard. Each author defines their choices publication by publication and AI system by AI system.
Authorizations can be managed:
- Publication by publication
- Category by category
- Language by language
- AI use by AI use
What this means for you: we can build a catalogue of content specifically and explicitly authorised for your system and your system alone.
One catalogue for your system. Another for a competitor.
Each one different, each one authorised by the relevant authors, each one legally unimpeachable.
This is your competitive advantage: content that other systems cannot obtain, within a framework where AI becomes ethical, responsible and transparent.
This approach also enables the documentation of content origin, associated consents and applicable terms of use. It thereby helps reduce the legal, reputational and regulatory risks associated with the use of cultural data in artificial intelligence systems.
| Every piece of content available in our catalogue has been explicitly authorised by its author via the AI Notice. No content can be licensed without the direct consent of the creator. This is the guarantee of the legal solidity of every agreement. |
What AI companies receive
Authorized content
Content made available on the basis of explicit authorizations granted by their authors — certified, authentic, with no bots or automatically generated material.
A rich, organized and authentic catalogue
More than 50 categories per language, spanning fiction and non-fiction. Novels, short stories, poetry, essays, chronicles, travel writing, humanities, technology, personal development, philosophy, humour, testimonials, education, culture, journalism and analysis.
Publications cover an extensive range of formats: from a quick one-minute read to long texts of several tens of minutes. A diversity of styles, registers and perspectives built by independent authors free from any editorial mandate.
Each piece of content is produced by a certified author and forms part of a human editorial process. At a time when synthetic content is multiplying, this authenticity is a strategic resource for AI systems seeking to preserve diversity, nuance and creativity.
Two primary languages, five available
French and English as priorities. Spanish, Italian and German are also available shortly.
Audience classification
Each publication is classified according to three audience levels: general public, sensitive content, adult content. This granularity allows you to build datasets adapted to your governance and security requirements without manual processing.
Aggregated audience data
Aggregated and anonymized audience data: reading behaviours, most consulted categories, distribution by content format. Strictly aggregated, with no personal information.
Rich metadata
Each piece of content is delivered with: certification guarantee, ISO 8601 timestamped publication date and time, language, category, audience level, semantic tags, AI Notice status, modification history.
A European legal framework
Panodyssey operates under the French Intellectual Property Code, the GDPR, DSM Directive 2019/790 and the European AI Act 2024/1689.

Available licensing models
Training licences
Access to corpora for training artificial intelligence models. Two options available:
- Corpus licence: sets of content selected by category, language, theme, audience level or editorial objectives. Ideal for training models on specific domains or developing targeted language expertise.
- Global licence: access to the entire corpus available under licence, continuously updated with newly authorised publications.
Inference licences (RAG / AI Agents)
Access to authorised content used in real time by assistants, search engines, AI agents or retrieval-augmented generation systems. This content is certified, timestamped and attributed: a guarantee of quality and traceability for your real-time responses.
In all cases, revenues are redistributed to authors through transparent mechanisms. Panodyssey acts as the mandatary of authors who have explicitly chosen to participate in licensing programmes.
European validation
Panodyssey has coordinated the European consortiums CREA (2022/23) and Creative Room European Alliance CREA Trust AI (2024/25), supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission, in the areas of culture, content discoverability and responsible artificial intelligence. International news agency Agencia EFE is a partner in these initiatives.
Panodyssey is an active participant in the European consortium TEMS (Trusted European Media Data Space 2023/27), funded by the Digital Europe programme of the European Commission, dedicated to rights portability in digital ecosystems.
